The Best Nest

Last year I found little chicks on clearance at Michael's and stocked up. I stuffed them into my craft drawer and forgot about them until this week when I discovered them hiding under some tissue paper. Just in time for Easter!

I thought about putting them into plastic eggs and coming up with some kind of game, but ultimately decided that they needed nests. I read The Best Nest to my kindergarten and 1st grade groups and had them follow directions to make little nests out of construction paper, tissue paper, and brown markers/crayons. I just love spring crafts!
