It is standardized testing week at my school and my students needed something fun and silly to do after spending all morning taking the test (me too since I spent all morning administering it!).
I have several students working on conversational turn taking and topic maintenance. I also have a group of students that are working on their sounds in connected speech so I figured a conversation activity would be best.
I found some mustache tape and stick-on mustaches this weekend and made some conversation starter cards using a mustache template.
If you "mustache", it has been a hit so far. The kids loved seeing me wearing a mustache. We may have done more laughing than talking.
To make this activity yourself, simply pick up some mustache tape at Target, some sticky mustaches (I got mine at Old Navy for $2/pack), and download the free conversation starters at my TPT store. I wrappd an old Play Dough container with the tape and it was the perfect size to hold the cards!

Practically Sharing: Guest Blog Post!
Alexis from Practically Speeching invited me to participate in her fantastic Practically Sharing segment. I got to write a guest blog post about how I am modifying materials to keep students engaged and interested in therapy these last few weeks of school. Check it out here!
Also check out my latest freebie in my TPT store - a Super Mario inspired game!
